.As the sun rises over the verdant landscapes of Assam, the breakfast tables come alive with gastronomic delights, inviting you to indulge in the rich tapestry of Assamese cuisine.
Take the leftover rice, add water, buttermilk, chopped onions, green chilli, and mustard oil. Stir with salt. Enhance the essence of poita bhaat with aloo pitika, mashed potato with chilli, mustard oil, and salt.
A steamed rice cake filled with coconut flakes and jaggery is called Tekeli Pitha, also known as Ketli Pitha. Savour your delicious Tekeli Pitha with yoghurt or sweet cream!
This pressed rice version of a traditional Assamese breakfast dish is delicious and nutritious. Soak poha in water and wash properly. Add fresh cream and curd in a bowl and later it with the poha. Garnish with jaggery.
This is a kind of Assamese rice crepe, also known as Hazarmukhi pitha. It is prepared in about 20 minutes. Add powdered rice, chopped onions, carrots, and water in a bowl to make the batter. Using a ladle, pour the batter over 1 tsp mustard oil. Cover and cook for 1 min.
