This Halwa made with tomatoes, ghee, and almonds, is proof that there is no dessert quite as versatile as a Halwa. Here’s a yummy recipe that will win you over.
6 Pieces tomato 1 cup sugar 1 cup khoya 1 tsp cardamom powder 1/2 cup ghee 2 tbsp crushed dry fruits 2 tbsp grated almonds
Cut the tomatoes in half, deseed them and chop them finely. In a hot pan, sautee tomatoes in hot, melted ghee until they are soft.
Add sugar, stir on low flame till the water evaporates. Then add khoya, cardamom powder, crushed dry fruits. Stir till halwa leaves sides of the pan.
Turn off the flame, serve hot garnished with almonds.
