Here's Paan G&T, a traditional cocktail with a new twist: the essence of betel leaf gives it a lively and aromatic quality.

For Paan syrup 6 paan leaves (blanched- boil in hot water for a few seconds and add it to ice cold water) 2 Tbsp gulkand 2 tsp saunf 45 ml sugar syrup (cook 1/4th cup sugar with 1/4th water and boil for a few seconds) For the drink Lots of ice 60 ml paan syrup 45ml gin 120 ml tonic water Lime juice - few drops Nutmeg - sprinkle Paan leaf to garnish
To make the Paan syrup, whisk together the blanched leaves, gulkand, saunf, and sugar syrup until smooth. Strain the mixture
Gather all of the ingredients: gin, tonic water, lime juice, the paan syrup we made earlier, and a lot of ice.
Top with nutmeg and a paan leaf for garnish and Enjoy.
