There has never been a cake recipe quite like this Coca-Cola cake. Which utilises the carbonation of the soft drink to create an ideal, luscious cake.
1/2 to 3/4 of a Thumbs Up can (adjust to achieve desired batter consistency) 3/4 cup (220g) Condensed milk 1 cup (120g) Maida (All-purpose flour) 1 tbsp (7.5g) Cocoa powder 1 tbsp (7.5g) Drinking chocolate 1/2 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Baking soda 1/2 cup (115g) Butter, softened
Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a bowl, whisk together softened butter and condensed milk until well combined. Add cocoa powder and drinking chocolate, then whisk to incorporate.
Gradually fold in baking powder, baking soda, and maida until a dough-like mixture forms. Gradually add Thumbs Up to achieve a batter-like consistency. Pour the batter into a lined cake tin and bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.
Allow the cake to cool before removing it from the tin. Dust with icing sugar, garnish as desired, and enjoy the unique flavour of Thumbs Up cake!
