Ever Had Koki? A Masaledaar Flatbread from Sindhi Cuisine

Sindhi Koki is a traditional Sindhi flatbread made from wheat flour, onions, and a blend of spices. Often served with yogurt or pickles, it's a flavourful breakfast.

Step 1 

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup wheat flour, 1 finely chopped onion, 2-3 finely chopped green chilies, ½ tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp red chili powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, and salt to taste.

Step 2

Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a firm dough. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a flatbread (koki) using your hands.

Step 3

Heat a griddle and cook the koki on medium heat until both sides turn golden brown.

Step 4

Drizzle with ghee and serve hot with yogurt or pickle. Enjoy your Sindhi Koki!
