The monsoon is here, so is our love for pakoras and fitters. However, this pakora waffles is a hatke evening snack that will satiate your taste buds. The healthy, tasty, gluten-free pokaro waffle will also keep you full for a long time. You can pair these waffles with any dips of your choice. Take a look at the recipe:
½ cup finely chopped cauliflower ½ cup chopped bell pepper ¾ cup finely chopped onion 1 hot green chilli finely chopped ½ inch ginger minced ¼ cup cilantro chopped 1/8 tsp ajwain or cumin seeds ½ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp red chilli powder 2 tbsp rice flour or semolina flour 1 cup chickpea flour or besan 1/8 tsp baking soda 1 cup water Salt Oil
Wash all the veggies and keep it aside.
Chop cauliflower, bell pepper, cilantro, onions, ginger and green chillies.
In a mixing bowl add all the veggies. Add ajwain or cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
To the bowl add semolina, cheakpea flour or besan, semolina, baking soda, and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well. Add water to make a thick mixture.
Take a scoop of the mixture and add it to the waffle maker. Spread some oil so that it does not burn.
Take out the pokaro waffle and serve with mayonnaise or dips of your choice.
