Although not as popular as its vegetarian variants, the egg dosa is a deliciously comforting and satisfying option on days when you need to ensure your protein intake is met. Pair it with some chutney or podi for extra flavour, and wash it down with a cup of tea or coffee.
1 ladle dosa batter 1 egg ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder Salt, to taste 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Dilute the dosa batter slightly using a bit of water and season with some salt.
Bring a tava to heat as you whisk the egg with the red chilli powder and salt.
Ladle the dosa batter on the hot pan and spread using circular motions, followed by a few drops of oil.
As the top surface of the dosa sets, pour the whisked egg over and tilt the pan to spread it evenly across.
Allow the egg to set slightly before flipping over and cooking for another minute or two. Serve hot.
