Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi celebrates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, marked by prayers, gatherings, and sharing sweet treats. Families prepare traditional sweets to honour the occasion.

Sheer Khurma

A traditional Eid favourite, sheer khurma is a creamy vermicelli pudding made with milk, dates, nuts, and fragrant spices like cardamom.

Gulab Jamun

The soft, melt-in-your-mouth dough balls are made from khoya (milk solids) and soaked in a fragrant sugar syrup flavoured with cardamom and rosewater. Gulab Jamun is an irresistible treat for Eid.

Zarda

This golden coloured sweet rice dish is cooked with sugar, cardamom, and saffron. It is garnished with an assortment of nuts and dried fruits such as almonds, cashews, and raisins.

Baklava

A Middle Eastern dessert that is quickly gaining popularity in India, Baklava is perfect for Eid. It features layers of thin, flaky phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with a spiced honey syrup.

Kheer

Kheer is a creamy rice pudding cooked with milk, sugar, and flavoured with saffron. It’s a simple yet elegant dessert enjoyed during Eid festivities.

Phirni

To make phirni, basmati rice is soaked and ground into a coarse paste. The paste is then cooked in milk until it thickens, and sugar. It's traditionally served chilled in clay pots.
