Osmania Biscuits, Hyderabad's beloved tea-time snack, are flaky, buttery, and perfectly balanced with sweetness and saltiness. These eggless delights are irresistible and pair wonderfully with a hot cup of tea.
50 g Butter 33 g Ghee 10 g Milk Powder 1 gm Salt 33 g Icing Sugar 1 g Elaichi Powder (Cardamom) 120 g All-Purpose Flour 3 g Custard Powder 2 tsp Milk 100 ml Cold Water 30 g Milk Powder (for dusting) 10 g Custard Powder (for dusting)
Mix cream butter, ghee, and icing sugar until light and fluffy. Add milk powder and elaichi powder, mixing well.
Sift together all-purpose flour, custard powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, blending until smooth.
Slowly incorporate milk and cold water to form a dough. Do not overmix. Roll out the dough to desired thickness, cut into shapes, and place on a baking tray.
Preheat oven to 180°C and bake biscuits for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Dust with extra milk and custard powder before serving.
