Egg dosa, also known as Muttai Dosa, is a popular South Indian breakfast dish that combines the goodness of a crispy dosa with the protein punch of an egg. Here’s how to make it at home.
2 cups raw rice ½ cup urad dal 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds Salt to taste 1 dosa batter ladle 1 egg 1 small onion 1 green chilli 1 tablespoon coriander leaves ½ teaspoon black pepper powder 1 tablespoon ghee
Soak rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds for at least 4 hours. Drain and grind till smooth.
Add salt and let the batter ferment overnight.
Heat a tawa, pour a ladleful of dosa batter and spread it thinly in a circular motion.
Cook the dosa till golden brown. Crack an egg over it and spread the dosa.
Sprinkle chopped onions, green chillies, coriander and black pepper.
Cook for another minute till the egg is cooked. Fold the dosa and serve.
