Easy Upma Recipe For Breakfast

Don’t have time for breakfast? Try this easy upma recipe for busy mornings.

Ingredients

1 cup rava, 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp chana dal, 1 tsp urad dal, 2 stalks of curry leaves, 1 dry red chilli, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 3 tbsp peas, ½ tsp asafoetida, salt, 3 cups water

Step 1

Roast rava in a pan until golden brown and keep it aside.

Step 2

Heat oil and all the spices and saute for two minutes.

Step 3

Now add chopped onions and saute until a bit translucent.

Step 4

Then add all the veggies, and salt, and stir fry for a few minutes.

Step 5

Finally, add roasted rava along with water and cook until all the water is absorbed and turns thick.

Step 6

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with the chutney of your choice.
