Making pancakes at home? Follow these tips to master it.
Stir the batter only until the wet and dry ingredients are incorporated. Do not overmix as this makes the pancakes tough and chewy.
Resting the batter for a while before adding to the pan makes it thicker and will yield lightest pancakes.
The right time to flip is when bubbles start forming on the surface of the pancakes and do not flip more than once.
Usually, pancakes are served with maple syrup on the top but adding some sugar right into the dry ingredients while preparing batter enhances the taste.
Butter adds more flavour to the pancake than oil, but remember it burns more quickly.
