Made extra pizza dough and wondering how to store it for later use? With a few simple steps, you can preserve your dough and keep it fresh for future pizza-making sessions.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. This slows the fermentation, keeping it fresh.
Divide the dough into portions, wrap tightly in plastic, and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before using.
Lightly coat the dough with olive oil before wrapping to prevent sticking and drying out.
Store the dough in an airtight container, allowing room for expansion as it continues to rise slightly.
If you have a vacuum sealer, use it to remove air and keep the dough fresh for longer in the freezer.
