Among popular street foods in India, chowmein is favoured by kids as well as adults. The noodles are cooked in a spicy mix of vegetables and sauces to make for a perfect evening snack. If you are craving street-style chowmein, try out this recipe.

2 cups noodles 1 cup shredded cabbage 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce Water for boiling 2 tablespoons soy sauce Salt to taste 1 tablespoon vinegar 2 chopped green chillies 1 tablespoon ketchup 1 sliced onion 1 sliced capsicum 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

Boil noodles in water seasoned with salt. Keep stirring in between to prevent noodles from sticking together.

Heat the wok and season it to ensure the ingredients do not stick to its surface later.

Add oil and saute green chillies, ginger, garlic, onion, cabbage, capsicum, and other vegetables if you like.

Pour in all the sauces in the required quantity and let the vegetables soak in all the flavours.

Add salt and pepper to taste and fold in boiled noodles. Mix everything well.
