Everybody loves jam but making it can be a hectic process. On the other hand, organic jams can be expensive. Make your own jam with easy steps. Spread it on toast or use it as a topping for desserts. You can also get creative with how you use this delicious jam in your meals.

4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped 2 cups granulated sugar 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon fruit pectin

In a large bowl, add the chopped strawberries with sugar and let the mixture sit for about 1-2 hours.

Sterilise your canning jars and lids. Allow them to air dry.

Add lemon juice and stir well with the puree. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

If you are using pectin and want a firmer jam, follow the package instructions to test for gel formation and use it accordingly.

Once the strawberry mixture has thickened to your liking, fill the jars. Your homemade strawberry jam is now ready to enjoy!
