Make yummy, cheesy garlic bread that would pair perfectly with your pasta or lasagna. Here are some simple steps to make it at home.
400 g Italian or French loaf ½ cup unsalted butter 5 garlic cloves 1 tbsp fresh parsley leaves, chopped ¼ cup parmesan cheese ¼ tsp salt and black pepper
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius, peel the garlic cloves and mince them into a small bowl.
Chop the fresh parsley leaves and set them aside. Allow the butter to come down to room temperature and get it softened.
In a small mixing bowl, add the softened butter, fresh chopped parsley, and minced garlic. Mix them to make a garlic butter compound.
Slice the loaf of bread horizontally to reveal the inside. Apply the garlic butter generously on both sides.
Put the two halves of bread in the oven and bake them for 10 minutes. Upon baking, generously add parmesan cheese on top followed by sprinkling fine sea salt and black pepper.
Put the bread on the top rack of the oven and set the function to broil. After 2 minutes, the cheese would've melted and formed crispy brown edges on the sides of the bread.
Take them out of the oven and slice them into smaller bread pieces and serve warm.
