Accidental spillages or burnt cakes can make your sparkly clean microwave all grimy and messy. This can also lead to foul odour. Here are some simple steps for cleaning the oven perfectly!
Fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and squeeze a half-cut lemon in the water. You can also use apple cider vinegar.
Put the bowl in the microwave and set the oven at full power for 5 minutes. Make sure the door steams up.
Let it cool before opening the door. Take a dry and clean sponge and wipe the inside of the microwave.
Now, with a wet microfibre cloth, clean the edges of the door. To get rid of the greasy layer, clean with a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water.
Place a bowl of baking soda if the odour still persists and leave for a day.
Lastly, always remember not to spray cleaners directly on the inner surfaces or scrub them with steel wool. Only use a sponge or a microfibre cloth.
