Samosa is a popular North Indian snack. To give it a luxurious twist, you can make shahi samosa filled with dry fruits and nuts. Here’s how you can make this tea-time snack.
2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup water 1 cup mashed potatoes 1/2 cup boiled green peas 1/4 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped cashews 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder Salt to taste Oil for frying
Take a bowl and mix maida and salt. Gradually add water and knead a dough. Let it rest.
Till then, make the filling by sauteeing onions.
Add potatoes, peas, cashews, raisins, and spices and cook till fragrant. Set aside.
Roll the dough and cut it into squares. Place a spoonful of filling in the centre.
Fold the dough into a cone shape and seal the edges tightly.
Deep fry till crispy and serve with a chutney.
