Kesari Bath: Learn To Make This Dessert From Karnataka

This sweet dish is from Karnataka cuisine that is made with semolina, ghee and lots of dry fruits. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 cup fine rava, 1 /2 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1/4 cup ghee, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, 4 tsp chopped cashews, 2 tsp raisins, few drops of yellow food color, a pinch of saffron

Step 1

Heat 2 tsp ghee in a pan. Add chopped cashews, raisins and fry well. Transfer to a plate. Add rava to the same ghee and roast till nice aroma wafts out.

Step 2

Now add water and bring to a rolling boil, stir continuously till the rava gets cooked well. Add sugar and mix well.

Step 3

Add food color, ghee and saffron. Keep cooking till the mixture thickens. Add fried nuts and remove from flame. Enjoy.
