Prepared with drip method instead of brewing, filter coffee is traditionally served in “dabara”, a metal cup with a cylindrical rim and wide base. It is a staple beverage in many South Indian households.
4 teaspoon coffee powder 1 cup water 2 cups milk 1 teaspoon sugar
Place coffee powder on the top part of the perforated container and then set it on the lower container.
Boil the water and pour quickly over the powder. Place the press over it and cover.
Leave to drip into the lower container and when the entire concoction has drained into the lower container, mix hot milk into it.
Add sugar, transfer into a brass tumbler and serve hot.
