Poha chivda is an easy way to curb your cravings as it packs a lot of flavour and comes together fairly quickly. It has a crispy texture and uses staple pantry ingredients. Here's a recipe for you:
2 cups thin poha 1/4 cup peanuts 1/4 cup roasted gram (chana dal) 1/4 cup cashews 1/4 cup sliced dry coconut 1/4 cup raisins 2-3 green chillies 8-10 curry leaves 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing) 2 tbsp oil Salt to taste 1-2 tsp sugar (optional)
Fry the poha and set it aside.
Fry sliced dry coconut, cashews, peanuts, and roasted gram in oil until golden; remove and put aside. Add the raisins and fry till puffed, then remove.
Curry leaves, asafoetida, sliced green chillies, mustard seeds, and cumin seeds should all be added to the same heat and sauté. Stir in poha, turmeric, salt, and sugar.
Add the fried ingredients and well combine. Chill and preserve in a sealed jar.
