The summer season is about to begin, and it is time to look for refreshing options among beverages. Irrespective of the season, tea is a popular drink in India. However, if you are tired of the usual ginger tea, you need to try pineapple tea packed with spicy notes and goodness of herbs. You can serve it at a high-tea party or gatherings of friends.
¾ teaspoon turmeric powder 1-inch ginger 6 cups water A pinch of black pepper Pineapple skin 1 tablespoon maple syrup 1 cinnamon stick
Start by carefully slicing the skin of a pineapple and keep slices of pineapples aside for garnishing at the end.
In a boiling pot of water, add slices of pineapple skin and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
Add spices like cinnamon, turmeric, and black pepper to the concoction along with ginger.
Let the ingredients simmer for at least 20-30 minutes so that water has absorbed all the flavours.
Remove the tea and strain it. You can consume it hot or refrigerate it.
If serving as iced tea, add ice cubes and a few slices of pineapple to the beverage. Enjoy it with snacks.
