An evening with a hot cup of tea and samosas served with chutney is the best way to enjoy some me time. However, you can add a tweak to it by trying out onion samosa. Here is a quick recipe for you to make a batch of delicious fried snacks.
1 teaspoon red chilli powder Oli as required ½ teaspoon cumin powder 2 cups maida or wheat flour 2 cups water 2 tablespoons corn flour 1 teaspoon chaat masala 2 tablespoons coriander leaves 2 sliced onions Oli for frying Salt to taste 1 cup poha 2 finely chopped green chillies
In a large bowl, take maida, corn flour, and ½ teaspoon salt. Add water as required. Knead it into a dough.
You can also make a thick slurry, add a ladle of it on a hot skillet, spread it around, and make thin sheets for samosa.
In another bowl, mix poha, sliced onions, chilli powder, chopped green chillies, cumin powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves, and salt to taste. Mix it well.
Either roll the dough or take a samosa sheet, and add filling to it. Cover the sides with maida slurry and start folding it in triangles.
Keep the stuffed samosa asked to settle and seal. Deep fry samosas or air fry them, if you want to avoid oil.
Serve hot samosas with a cup of tea or coffee and your favourite chutney.
