Oil-free Vada Pav is a healthier alternative to the traditional deep-fried snack, perfect for those watching their fat intake. This low-calorie version retains all the delicious flavours without the guilt.
1 cup of boiled and mashed potatoes 2 teaspoons ginger-green chilli paste 1 tablespoon chopped coriander 2 teaspoons of lemon juice Salt to taste ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi) 7-8 curry leaves A pinch of asafoetida
⅓ cup gram flour ¼ tsp turmeric powder ½ teaspoon chilli powder A pinch of asafoetida Salt to taste
Combine the vada ingredients to form a soft dough-like mixture. Mix the coating ingredients in a shallow bowl.
Shape the dough into small balls. Roll the balls in the coating mixture until fully covered.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Air fry the coated vadas at 180°C for 15 minutes.
Serve the vadas with fresh pav (buns).
