Crispy snacks like pakoras and vadas are kind of a mandate when the weather brings with it rain and breeze. To make a crispy tea-time snack, you can follow this moong dal pakoda recipe and make the most of the rainy season.
1 cup moong dal 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon garam masala 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste 1/4 cup water Oil for frying Salt to taste
Rinse and soak moong dal for 2-3 hours. Blend it with water till smooth.
Mix in chopped onions, cilantro, red chilli powder, ground cumin, garam masala, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt.
Heat some oil and take small portions of the well-mixed batter.
Deep fry the pakoras till golden brown. Serve hot with your favourite chutney.
