Monsoon rains call for a warm and crunchy snack. Homemade Makhana Chaat is the perfect answer to your rainy-day cravings. It's easy, healthy, and bursting with the flavours of your favourite street food.
1½ cup phool makhana ½ tsp chilli powder ½ tsp aamchur 1 tsp chaat masala ¼ tsp salt 2 tbsp tomato, chopped 2 tbsp chopped onion, cucumber, green chutney, tamarind chutney, coriander 2 tbsp peanuts, roasted
Dry roast 1½ cup phool makhana on low flame until they turn crunchy. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp aamchur, 1 tsp chaat masala, and ¼ tsp salt.
Add 2 tbsp chopped tomato, onion, and cucumber to the spice mix. Combine well. Pour 2 tbsp green chutney and 2 tbsp tamarind chutney into the mixture. Stir thoroughly.
Add the roasted makhana to the bowl and mix until evenly coated. Garnish with 2 tbsp chopped coriander and 2 tbsp roasted peanuts. Serve immediately.
