People often associate eating protein as boring because always eating boiled chicken, eggs, and paneer is no fun. This mug cake, however, will change the way you look at protein. It is a simple recipe that you can make almost instantly with the help of a few ingredients along with packing a lot of protein.
1 scoop protein powder (your choice of flavour) 2 tablespoons almond flour 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1-2 tablespoons sweetener (such as stevia, erythritol, or honey) 1 egg 2 tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) Pinch of salt Optional toppings: berries, nut butter, chopped nuts, dark chocolate chips
In a microwave-safe mug, mix the protein powder, almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sweetener, and salt until well combined.
Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract (if using) to the dry ingredients. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
Microwave the mug cake on high for about 1-2 minutes, depending on your microwave's power. The cake should rise and set but still be moist.
Let the mug cake cool for a minute before adding any toppings.
Add your favourite toppings such as berries, nut butter, chopped nuts, or dark chocolate chips.
Enjoy your protein-packed mug cake straight from the mug with a spoon.
