Gnocchi is an Italian dish that features dumplings in a flavourful sauce. The dumplings are prepared with flour, potatoes, and eggs, making them a filling meal. Here's an easy recipe for you to try:
Ingredients 2 large potatoes 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 beaten egg 1 teaspoon salt
Cook potatoes in their skins until tender, about 20–30 minutes. Peel and mash until smooth.
On a floured surface, combine mashed potatoes, flour, beaten egg, and salt. Knead until a soft dough forms.
Divide the dough into four pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 1-inch pieces.
Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook gnocchi in batches until they float to the top, about 2–3 minutes. Remove it with a slotted spoon. Toss with your favourite sauce and serve hot.
