Ghee podi rice is a delicious but lightweight dish that you can relish irrespective of the weather. It is a wholesome recipe that offers the benefits of ghee and podi masala that appeal to your taste buds. Check out this easy guide to make the South Indian delight at home.
2 dried red chillies 2 tbsp ghee 1 tbsp podi masala Salt to taste 1 chopped tomato 50 grams of chopped coriander 1 cup leftover rice ½ tbsp mustard seeds 7-8 curry leaves 1 slit green chilli
In a pan, heat ghee and add mustard seeds to it.
Once seeds start crackling, add curry leaves, dry red chillies, and green chilli.
Saute the ingredients for a couple of minutes and add chopped tomatoes.
When tomatoes start getting mushy, add leftover rice, and sprinkle salt and podi masala.
After splashing water, cover the pan with a lid. Let everything cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.
Toss the grains and enjoy ghee podi rice hot.
