Farali chivda is a popular Indian snack made with a variety of ingredients such as dried fruits, nuts, vegetables, and spices. The chivda is particularly enjoyed during vrat or fast days. Here's an easy recipe for you:
1 cup poha 1/2 cup dry coconut 1/2 cup peanuts 1/2 cup cashews 1/4 cup raisins 2 tbsp sesame seeds 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper powder 2 tbsp ghee 1-2 green chillies A few curry leaves 2 medium potatoes Oil
Grate and deep fry potatoes until golden. Drain on paper towels. Dry roast poha until crisp. Set aside.
In ghee, fry chillies and curry leaves. Add peanuts, cashews, and coconut slices. Fry until golden.
Mix in poha, fried potatoes, sesame seeds, raisins, salt, sugar, and black pepper.
Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
