Chocolate mud pie is a rich, decadent dessert that's surprisingly easy to make. Here’s a simple recipe to satisfy your chocolate cravings.
1 pre-made chocolate cookie crust 1 cup heavy cream 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup powdered sugar ½ cup unsalted butter, softened 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Whipped cream for topping
Place the chocolate cookie crust in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.
In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it simmers. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
In a bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
Pour the chocolate mixture into the chilled crust and smooth the top. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours. Top with whipped cream before serving.
