Pickles are a hit among all Indians, be it any season, so trying this one packed with the heat of chillies and pungence of mustard seeds is a must. Here is the recipe for chilli mustard pickle you can try any day.

250g green chillies, washed & pat dried 4 tbsp mustard seeds 1 pinch asafoetida 5 tablespoons oil Salt, to taste 1/4 teaspoon jaggery 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Wash and dry the chillies, add some salt and mix well.

Add some water in the bowl and let it sit for 30 minutes before draining the water.

Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, oil, salt, jaggery, lemon juice, turmeric powder.

Mix well, seal or cover the bowl, and let it sit for a day.

Serve with chapati/ rice or dal the next day and store the rest in a sealed jar.
