Easy Chickpea And Tofu Tikki Recipe For A Cosy Monsoon Snack

Move over pakoras and try these incredibly delicious tikkis that are loaded with protein. Made using chickpeas and tofu, these tikkis are nutritional powerhouses that also pack flavours that are simply irresistible. Serve with your favourite sauce or chutney for the best experience.

Ingredients

1 cup cooked chickpeas 1 cup crumbled tofu   1 small onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder   Salt and pepper to taste 2 tbsp flour (for binding) Oil for frying

Step 1

In a bowl, mash the chickpeas. Add the spices, onion, garlic, crumbled tofu, salt, and pepper. 

Step 2

Stir in flour until well mixed. Shape the mixture into little patties.

Step 3

In a skillet with heated oil, cook patties until they turn golden brown on both sides.

Step 4

After draining on paper towels, serve hot.
