If dal chawal is your comfort food, you know the importance of sauteed vegetables that amplify the flavours of the meal, making it wholesome. Cabbage-aloo sabzi is one such dish that requires minimal effort for preparation. Here is the quick recipe.
½ sliced cabbage 2 medium diced potatoes Salt to taste 1 chopped green chilli 2 tbsp oil 1 tsp cumin seeds 2 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp chilli powder ½ tsp turmeric powder A pinch of garam masala
Slice cabbage and rinse it thoroughly. Wash potatoes and dice them into medium chunks.
Heat oil in a kadhai and add cumin seeds to it. Once seeds start to crackle, add turmeric powder and green chillies.
After sauteing for a minute, fold in cabbage and diced potatoes. Add salt to taste and cover with a lid.
As potatoes start turning soft, add the spices, and toss the vegetables. Cover the lid again.
Once the potatoes are done, serve the cabbage-aloo sabzi with dal-chawal and enjoy.
