Easy And Crunchy Whole Wheat Rusk For Tea Time

Rusk is an essential tea-time accompaniment. If you love having a crunchy rusk with your tea, why don’t you try baking at home? With this easy recipe, you can make whole wheat rusk in no time.

Ingredients

125 grams whole wheat flour 125 grams sooji 200 milliliters milk 3-4 tablespoons jaggery ¾ teaspoon active dry yeast 2 tablespoons olive oil ¼ teaspoon salt

Step 1

Take a bowl and mix wheat flour, sooji, and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk jaggery, yeast and lukewarm milk.

Mix the milk mixture with the dry ingredients. Add olive oil and knead a smooth dough.

Step 3

Make a ball with the dough and press it into a greased baking tray to form a flat loaf.

Bake for about half an hour till the top is golden brown at 180 degrees Celsius.

Let the rusk cool, flip it, and then bake again at 130 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes.
