Sambar is the quintessential South Indian delicacy that you cannot miss making. Be it with idlis, dosas, or uttapams, a bowl of sambar is what makes the meal complete. But instead of buying readymade sambar masala, here’s how you can make a preservative-free mix at home.
125 grams coriander seeds 125 grams dry red chilli 100 grams Toor dal 50 grams Channa dal 25 grams pepper 12 grams methi 25 grams raw haldi
Take each ingredient and pan roast them till aromatic.
Transfer the roasted ingredients to a bowl and mix them together.
Grind the mixture to make a fine powder.
Once you have a consistent mix, store it in an air-tight container till your next use.
