Easy American Chopsuey To Make At Home

American Chopsuey is an Indo-Chinese fusion dish that is made with crispy fried noodles in a rich tomato-based sauce. It is an easy-to-prepare dish that is filled with flavours of different sauces and vegetables.

Ingredients

Hakka Noodles - 200 grams Oil for deep frying Shredded cabbage, carrot, capsicum - 1/2 cup Chopped ginger and garlic - 1/2 teaspoon Tomato ketchup - 3 tablespoons Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon Vinegar - 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce - 1/2 tablespoon Water - 2cups Sugar - 1 teaspoon Salt to taste

Step 1

Boil the noodles, drain them, and let them cool down.

Step 2

Deep fry the noodles in a pan or in an air-fryer.

Step 3

In a pan, take some oil and cook onions, ginger and garlic for a few minutes.

Step 4

Add the shredded vegetables to the pan and cook till they are crispy.

Step 5

Take a bowl and mix soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, and sugar.

Step 6

Pour the sauces over the cooked vegetables and mix them together.

Step 7

Add some water till the desired consistency of the sauce is achieved.

Step 8

Add the fried noodles to the pan and mix till the noodles are coated with the sauce.

Step 9

Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
