Easter is celebrated with great gusto in Catholic communities, with an ornate feast comprising a range of delicious mains, desserts, and side dishes. A popular Easter side dish is roasted carrots; toss these carrots in parmesan and garlic, and concoct an appetising side dish. Here’s how.
4 cups peeled carrots ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon olive oil ½ teaspoon garlic salt
Preheat the oven to 190°C, and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
In a bowl, mix olive oil and garlic salt. Transfer them to a sealable bag. Add carrots to the bag and seal it properly.
Shake the bag thoroughly till the carrots are entirely drenched in oil. Lay out the oil-soaked carrots onto the prepared baking sheet.
Roast the carrots for nearly 45 minutes till they become soft and crunchy. Add parmesan, and continue roasting for about 10 minutes till the cheese becomes light brown.
Top off the dish with additional parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy!
