Dussehra, or Vijaya Dashami, calls for a traditional Indian dessert. One of the indulgent desserts is seviyan, which can be enjoyed with a rich garnish of dry fruits and nuts.
1/2 cup vermicelli 2 cups milk Sugar as per taste 2 tablespoons ghee A pinch of cardamom powder Chopped dry fruits for garnishing
Heat some ghee and roast vermicelli till golden brown.
In another pan, heat some milk. Let it boil and then simmer for another 5 minutes.
Add the roasted vermicelli and sugar to the milk. Let it cook till the sugar dissolves.
Mix in a pinch of cardamom powder. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot.
