Always offered to guests and family on Dussehra in Maharashtra, this crispy-crunchy Kadakani is a must-have for your celebrations. While Kadakani can be given any ornamental shape you like, it is usually formed as discs. Here is the easy recipe for you to try out.
½ cup semolina, powdered ½ cup refined flour 3 tbsp sugar, powdered 1 tbsp oil ¼ cup water Oil, for frying (optional)

Place the semolina and flour in a large bowl, then add oil and mix well to get breadcrumb texture.

Mix the water and sugar together until the latter is completely combined.
Gradually add to the semolina-flour mix to form a tight, smooth dough. Let it rest for half an hour.

Divide the dough into equal-sized balls, roll each out and pierce with a fork.

Heat oil in a wok and fry the Kadakani until golden. Alternatively, you can also air-fry the Kadakani.
Once cool, store the Kadakani in an airtight jar and serve to guests whenever needed.
