Durga Pujo brings with itself delicious desserts and sweets. One such dessert is the delicious narkel naru or coconut laddu. Here is a very simple recipe for the dish.

2 cups of grated fresh coconut 1 cup of granulated sugar 1/4 cup of milk 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder 1 tablespoon of ghee

Heat a heavy-bottomed pan on medium-low heat and add the grated coconut. Roast until the coconut turns slightly golden.

In the golden coconut, now add sugar and cardamom powder. Stir well to keep it from sticking.

Remove the mixture from heat. Cover your hands with ghee and start making the laddus before the mixture cools and tightens.

Let the laddus dry for a bit. Store in air-tight containers for 10-12 days.
