A spicy and aromatic dry chutney made with garlic, coconut, and spices, perfect as an accompaniment to various Indian dishes.
1 cup grated coconut 10-12 garlic cloves 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste) 1 teaspoon oil
In a pan, dry roast the grated coconut on low heat. Set aside to cool.
Add a teaspoon of oil and roast the garlic cloves in the pan.
Add sesame seeds to the pan and roast. Let everything cool.
Now, grind the roasted coconut, garlic, and sesame seeds. Add red chilli powder and salt.
Transfer the chutney to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place.
Serve with dosa, idli, or rice. Enjoy!
