Lauki is one of the most boring vegetables that many children run away from. However, if you turn it into a dessert, your kids will love it. Doodhi halwa is a regional delicacy that promises to take care of your sugar cravings.
1.5 cups of milk 3 cups grated lauki ¼ tsp crushed cardamom 6 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp crushed almonds 3 tbsp ghee 1 tbsp crushed pistachios 2 tbsp rose petals
Heat milk in a heavy-bottom pan. Once it boils, reduce the flame.
While the milk thickens, saute the grated lauki in ghee.
Add lauki to the milk, and let the ingredients cook.
After 5-10 minutes, add sugar and let it dissolve.
Turn off the flame, and add cardamom powder.
Garnish the halwa with pistachios, almonds, and rose petals.
