Transform fresh ginger into aromatic saunth (ginger powder) at home with ease. Perfect for spicing up your dishes and teas, homemade ginger powder is simple and rewarding.
Thoroughly wash the fresh ginger root and peel off the skin using a vegetable peeler or a spoon.
Slice the ginger root into thin, even pieces to ensure uniform drying.
Spread the ginger slices on a tray and let them dry in the sun for 2-3 days until they become brittle and snap easily.
Once completely dried, grind the ginger slices into a fine powder using a spice grinder or a blender.
Store the ginger powder in an airtight container to maintain its freshness and potency.
