Add a twist to traditional sweet by making Vanilla Boondi Ice Cream this Diwali. This dessert combines the creaminess of vanilla ice cream and the sweetness of boondi, perfect for the festival season. It’s an easy and elegant way to impress your guests with a dash of Indian touch.
2 cups vanilla ice cream 1/2 cup boondi 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios Few saffron strands
Let the vanilla ice cream sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften.
Add the boondi to the softened ice cream along with cardamom powder if using. Mix gently.
Transfer the mixture back into a freezer-safe container and level the top with a spatula.
Cover and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or till the ice cream is set.
Scoop into serving bowls. Garnish with chopped pistachios and saffron strands soaked in milk.
