Aloo kachori is a crucial part of the Diwali spread, especially the main meal. It is hearty, heavy, and delicious to indulge in. If you are adding it to the menu, try out this step-by-step recipe.

Ingredients

1 tsp coriander powder 2 boiled potatoes 1.5 cups whole wheat flour ¼ tsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp oil 250 ml oil Salt to taste ½ tsp fennel seeds ¼ tsp garam masala

Step 1

Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker and knead a soft dough for kachori.

Step 2

Peel potatoes and mash them in a deep bowl.

Step 3

Add salt to taste and spices into the bowl. Combine them with mashed potato.

Step 4

Divide the dough into small pedas and stuff each with a small sphere of potato mix.

Step 5

Roll the kachoris while oil gets heated in a heavy-bottom kadhai.

Step 6

Deep-fry aloo kachori until both sides are done and slightly crispy. Enjoy with sabzi or chutney.
