A must-have Gujarati snack not only during Diwali but whenever you crave it in winters, Chorafali is the perfect blend of crispy, salty and spicy. Here is the easy recipe for Gujarati Chorafali you can try at home.

Ingredients

1 cup gram flour ¼ cup urad dal, ground ¼ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt ¼ cup water Oil, for frying 1 tsp black salt ½ tsp red chilli powder ¼ tsp amchoor powder

Step 1

Place the gram flour, ground urad dal, baking soda, salt in a large bowl and mix well.

Step 2

Add water gradually to make a tight, slightly yellow dough. Transfer the dough into a large mortar and pestle.

Step 3

Beat the dough for a few minutes to ensure the dough colour changes from pale yellow to off-white and turns incredibly smooth.

Step 4

Now, divide the dough, roll it out and cut out long strips. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the strips until you get pale yellow Chorafali.

Mix black salt, red chilli powder and amchoor together, toss the crispy-crunchy Chorafali in it lightly and enjoy.
