Experience the irresistible taste of Badam Halwa, a luscious Indian dessert made with almonds, ghee, and aromatic spices. Creamy, nutty, and satisfying—perfect for celebrations or sweet cravings
1 cup slacked and peeled almonds (badam) 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter) 1 cup milk 1 cup sugar A pinch of saffron strands (optional) 1/2 tsp cardamom powder Chopped almonds and pistachios for garnish
Grind the soaked and peeled almonds into a fine paste using a little milk. In a pan heat the ghee.
Add the almond paste to the ghee and sauté , stirring continuously. Meanwhile, warm the milk in a separate pan.
Soak saffron strands, in a tbsp of warm milk. Now Add the warm milk to the almond mixture and stir.
Add sugar to the mixture and keep stirring. Add cardamom powder, and saffron milk and mix well.
Remove the halwa from the heat and transfer it to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios.
