Pepper Chicken is a spicy dish that combines the heat of freshly ground black pepper with chicken pieces, perfect with rice or rotis. This easy-to-cook recipe brings a South Indian taste to your kitchen.
500 g chicken 2 teaspoons oil 1 onion 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 2 green chillies 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper ½ teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Heat oil in a pan over medium flame. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chillies, and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
Add the chicken pieces and turmeric powder, and mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
Add salt and cumin powder, and cook until the chicken starts to release its juices.
Add freshly ground black pepper and stir. Cover and cook on low flame until the chicken is cooked.
Add garam masala and cook for 2 minutes.
