Ram ladoo is a popular winter indulgence for people in Delhi and North India. It is a must-try in this weather, especially if you are going out to relish street food. However, if it’s too cold outside, here is how you can make it at home.
For Ram Ladoo ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ cup moong dal 1 pinch of asafoetida ¼ cup chana dal Oil for deep frying 1 chopped green chilli 1.5 cups water 1-inch ginger ½ tsp salt
For Topping 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp tamarind chutney ¼ tsp chaat masala 1 tbsp grated radish 1 tsp green chutney 1 tbsp coriander leaves A pinch of red chilli powder
Soak lentils for at least 4-5 hours.
Drain the water and grind the ingredients.
Whisk the batter to fill it with air.
Add spices and Deep-fry fritters.
Once they are cooked and crispy, keep them aside.
Add toppings on ram ladoos and serve them hot.
